They ignore them. My next door neighbour has one but they still knock.
So when they do knock she now hands them a printed copy of their policy on child abuse off JW.org and tells them thats the reason she doesn't want them knocking her door.
i get too many callers in my neighborhood, and i need to invest in a no soliciting sign for the front door.
i do not appreciate uninvited callers, unless they are there to tell me there's an immediate need to evacuate.
i absolutely won't buy anything at the door.

Yes very emotional for all sorts of reasons.
I must admit that when I saw his mums reaction I did fill up a bit.
It was just fantastic. I love Wimbledon

i was thinking if i acted a little off but not too far off the elders would tell me i'm not welcome in the door to door work.
i wonder if this would work.
there is a watchtower or awake article somewhere saying that a mentally ill person may be excused from the meetings and field service if his illness affected others.
Nathan - thats hilarious
a customer on my route with whom i have had some lively debates was his number 1 complaint is that "the witnesses have so many rules".
last month i agreed with on this issue.
he asked why the change, i told him that i have been doing some soul searching.
Good advice from lots of people here.
From experience - witness youth have the views of the WTS and their parents with regards to morals. They're not given the chance to develop their own morals from living life. Teenagers make mistakes whether JW or not.
JW youth form extreme views. They lack tolerance of others. They judge others. These are extremely dangerous qualities to have as an adult.
Also, I was talking to an ex-JW whom I've not seen for a few years and he told me that although his parents left the truth, he was very angry with them for not doing it earlier when he and his siblings were younger and still in school.
i went to post a packet today.
as i left my house i noticed a couple of jws boring a house holder to death.. as i returned from the post office i saw the area regailed with jws, many of whom i know.
they didn't see me as they were busy trying to foist leaflets onto people.
We weren't allowed to watch Grange Hill either. It would give us ideas for when we got to high school. However, Armageddon was supposed to arrive before we ever got to high school so I don't see what the problem was.
I think the A Team was banned at first but my brothers and I managed to pursuade them it was ok as no one actually died in it.

Fortunately we rarely had a family study. Thank you Dad. I do remember having to miss the end of 'Lost in Space' and 'Star Trek' which were on Tues and Thurs evenings. Hated that.

Well its just past 11am so they'll be finishing and on their way home. Those kids can now go out to play or watch Saturday morning TV like normal kids do. Thats actually the worst part of my childhood, the Sat morning ministry. You'd think it would be missing out on Christmas and birthdays but no, it was being dragged out of bed on the weekend to go knocking on my school friends doors. Then having to feign illness on Monday morning because I was too embarrassed to face the friend whos door I knocked on in school. Sorry, went slightly off subject then.
just spoke to my mum and she said dad is exhausted after the elders school although he did enjoy it.. so he gets a call to attend an elders meeting in his cong.. .
he has told them he's not attending as he has other plans.
he is taking my mum out for the day instead..
